Sarah is teaming up with composer Nicole Johnson and Director Kelly Nevett, to turn her novel into an all-singing, all-dancing musical! Find out more about the process, the main characters, ensemble and the plot. Plus the Director Kelly Nevett will be talking through the opportunity to audition and gain a role in this world premiere.

ABOUT THE WRITER & COMPOSER

Sarah Day is a Northern writer and performer with a background in musical theatre and screen. She trained at ArtsEd on the BA (Hons) Musical Theatre course and has since performed in a range of productions including Calendar Girls the Musical (original cast), Singin’ in the Rain, Annie Get Your Gun, and The Romford Rose. Her screen credits include appearances on the BBC’s Doctors as well as national TV adverts. As a writer, Sarah has worked on the creative teams for major new musicals including The Devil Wears Prada and Burlesque. Her original short films have been written, produced, and screened at film festivals around the world. Sarah’s debut novel, Miss Influential was published November 28th 2025 by Fisher King publishing.

Nicole is a music director, pianist, vocal coach and educator, working cross-genre in Pop, Musical Theatre and Classical music. She trained at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and since graduating, has performed in numerous West-End shows (‘Wicked', ‘Frozen', 'Just For One Day', 'Mamma Mia'), as well gaining MD credits for ’Murder For Two’ and ’Some Enchanted Evening’ (Barn Theatre, 2022) and AMD credits for 'White Christmas’ (Sheffield Crucible), and ‘Merrily We Roll Along’ (Trinity Laban). Other highlights include having played with ‘Voyage’ (the ABBA Arena), recorded an English song album (’The Silver Swan’, with singer Emily Gray), and worked as a body/hand-double and live pianist on ‘A Child In Time’ (BBC, with Kelly MacDonald and Benedict Cumberbatch). Nicole works prolifically as an educator and vocal coach, being a Level 3 Accredited Vocal Balance Teacher, and will spend Spring 2026 travelling across Europe as MD/Pianist for the Hans Zimmer Immersive Symphony Tour.
